1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the FlavourLore mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FlavourLore is an educational app that offers cultural trivia, proverbs, folktales, and music content from cultures around the world. The App includes free content as well as additional culture packs available for purchase, and an optional subscription called FlavourLore Plus.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

FlavourLore offers the following paid options:

3-Pack Bundle — A one-time purchase that unlocks any 3 culture packs of your choice.
FlavourLore Plus — An auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks all current and future culture packs.

Subscription details:

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4. Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use FlavourLore for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

Copy, modify, or redistribute any content from the App.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App.
Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws.

6. Content

All cultural content in FlavourLore — trivia, proverbs, folktales, and music — is curated for educational purposes. We make every effort to represent cultures respectfully and accurately. If you find content that needs correction, please contact us.

7. Intellectual Property

FlavourLore, the FlavourLore name, logo, and all original content are the property of FlavourLore. Traditional cultural content (proverbs, folktales) belongs to the cultures from which it originates and is presented under educational fair use.

8. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information.

9. Disclaimer

FlavourLore is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlavourLore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
